Qld: Shop trading hours hearing to go ahead

The campaign for Sunday trading in Brisbane has achieved a win today, with the Queensland
Industrial Relations Commission deciding to hear a case for extended trading hours.

The five week case, brought before the commission by the Retailers Association of Queensland,
will be heard from November 5.

The Retailer Traders and Shopkeepers Association yesterday argued against the case
being heard by the commission, saying extended shopping hours would put small traders
