Our music critic, Tom Manoff, was browsing through his local music store recently when he discovered a new CD of an old recording, a 1955 collection of Elizabethan minstrel songs sung by the great countertenor Alfred Deller. Manoff remembers listening to these songs as a child, and he says another listen years later took him right back.
