KL to experience water shortage of 100m litres

KUALA LUMPUR, Mon. - The Federal Capital is expected to face a water
shortage amounting to 100 million litres next year.

Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said today the problem will
however be solved by the middle of 1999 when the Ministry implemented a
working plan which is under discussion.

"All relevant agencies and authorities are working hard over the
matter and a discussion is being held with Punchak Niaga (M) Sdn Bhd, the
main water supplier, to come up with a plan on overcoming the problem.
