Qld: No surprises expected in June 19 state budget

BRISBANE, June 6 AAP - Queensland can expect a no-frills, no new taxes document when
the Labor government delivers its post-election state budget later this month.

Premier Peter Beattie won a landslide victory in the February state election on the
back of modest election commitments to increase funding to education, health and law and
order.

The June 19 state budget will deliver on those promises, which included a $24.2 million
increase to disability ...
