My visit to Cuba last week coincided with the 40th anniversary of
the Bay
of Pigs invasion, in which 1400 U.S. supported Cuban exiles attempted
the
invasion of Cuba and the overthrow of President Fidel Castro. The
mission
failed. One hundred fourteen of the invaders died and 1189 were captured.
For forty years, Castro has used the Bay of Pigs Invasion as an example
