It's not just the US that has made the first hundred days into a media ritual. British Prime Minister Tony Blair and former South African President Nelson Mandela each received their first report cards after a hundred days. But the tradition probably dates back to Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Commentator and historian Patrick Maney says it' s not really a fair standard for today's modern leaders.
