Vic: Government defers land tax decision until after Easter

MELBOURNE, April 12 AAP - Victorian Treasurer John Brumby today again refused to specify
the government's position on land tax as the Opposition called for him to end speculation
on the matter.
The political battle over land tax continued as John Harvey, the chairman of the committee
which reviewed state business taxes and recommended a broadening of the land tax, defended
the recommendation today.
