SA: Minister releases draft guidelines for EIS on nuclear dump

ADELAIDE, April 6 AAP - The federal government today began the final countdown towards
the establishment of a low-level nuclear waste dump, releasing draft guidelines for an
environmental assessment of the project.

Environment Minister Robert Hill said the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) would
examine both the preferred site, north-west of Woomera in South Australia's north, as
well as two alternative sites, east and north-east of the town.
