Monday, February 12, 2001 -- Yokne'am-based medical laser company ESC Medical Systems refused to comment on reports in yesterday's Ma'ariv that it has agreed to acquire the laser division of California-based optical firm Coherent Inc. for $120 million. Analysts, however, said the deal, which has been rumored for some time, is likely to cost at least three times more.
