Sharon seeks non-belligerency deal
TEL AVIV, Israel, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Prime Minister-elect Ariel Sharon is seeking an indefinite non-belligerency arrangement with the Palestinians, denying he intends to concentrate first on Syria.
In a three-hour interview with the Yediot Aharonot newspaper published Friday, Sharon said the non-belligerency arrangement should have "no time table but a list of expectations." A spokesman for Sharon confirmed the article's accuracy.
