Electors meet to vote for president

WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- The presidential electors start convened Monday
morning to cast the ballots that actually elect the next president and vice
president of the United States.

The Electoral College has 538 members in 51 delegations. Each state has one
elector for each congressional district plus two electors representing the two
U.S. senators. By constitutional amendment, the District of Columbia also has a
three-member delegation to the Electoral College.
