I heard the horrible news of the Rabin assassination while my Yahrzeit candle was burning on the table in front of me, exactly one year after my son, Nachshon, of blessed memory, was murdered.

At that same hour, a year ago, we were on our way to Mount Herzl to bury our son. The streets of Jerusalem, along the entire route to Mount Herzl, were lined with people. At the cemetery, 70,000 came to pay Nachshon their last respects. They were a microcosm of Israeli society -- religious ...
