Qld: Decision to phase out chrysotile asbestos delayed

BRISBANE, Oct 20 AAP - A decision on whether to phase out the use of chrysotile asbestos
has been referred back to state and federal ministers responsible for occupational health
and safety.

The 18-member National Occupational Health and Safety Commission (NOHSC), which includes
representatives from all Australian states, met in Brisbane on Wednesday to discuss the
phasing-out of the use of the material.
