Pageants provide scholarships, self confidence

(The Student Printz) (U-WIRE) HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Three University of Southern Mississippi students are funding their college education by competing in Miss America preliminary pageants.

Keri Eubanks, Heidi Morgan and Bonnie White, all seniors, said the scholarship money drew them to the competitive pageants.

"The scholarship money that is available keeps me motivated to do the best I can while preparing for a pageant," White said. "These pageants also help with self-confidence, interpersonal communication skills and teach the ...
