More than 20 years after the fall of Cambodia to the Maoist Khmer Rouge, the children of former refugees who escaped Cambodia for relative safety in another country are now coming back.

Some have decided to come back permanently after the establishment of the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC). However, the majority of these so called anickarchun -- a term used by locals that means "outsider/alien/refugee" for overseas Khmer that rings of slight disapproval -- come only for short-term trips to visit family ...
