Haiku is a 17-syllable poetic discipline that is tempting to attempt but difficult to master. Basho, the 17th-century Japanese master poet, did a good deal to define the form. A new book about him, including some of his most famous haikus, has just been released. It's called "Basho and the Fox." It's written by Tim Myers and illustrated by Oki S. Han.
