SA: Lake Eyre Basin agreement weeks away
ADELAIDE, July 16 AAP - An historic agreement on protection of the Lake Eyre Basin
could be finalised within weeks, Premier John Olsen said today.
The agreement, being worked out between the South Australian, Queensland and federal
governments, would provide the first integrated catchment management scheme for the Diamantina
River and Cooper Creek, Mr Olsen said in a statement.
