ABANG Abdul Aziz Abang Mohammed describes his move to Kota Minerals & Chemicals
(KMC) Sdn Bhd in October 1995 as a coincidence.

"The company I was working for at that time had assigned me to a
cross- posting in Oman when I was `hijacked' by a close friend. He was
then the general manager at KMC and offered me a job," chief operating
officer Abdul Aziz says with a big smile.

The money was certainly not the reason. "I was ready for a challenge
and wanted to start something new."
