COVERDELL UNITES COLLEAGUES FOR RURAL HEALTH CARE FACILITIES

WASHINGTON, D. C. - U. S. Sen. Paul Coverdell (R-Ga.), who will replace the late Sen. John Chafee on the Senate Finance Committee, this week united Republican leaders behind arguments for increased funding to rural hospitals. The effort came in a letter to Finance Committee Chairman, Sen. William Roth (R-Del.), urging him to make rural health care a top priority.
