AT THE SUBCOM- MITTEE ON FISHERIES CONSERVATION, WILDLIFE AND OCEANS
HEARING
ON H.R. ------- , PRIBILOF ISLANDS TRANSITION ACT: JULY 299 1999.
Today, the Subcommittee will review the efforts of the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to end their ownership and civil
management responsibilities on the Pribilof Islands in Alaska. In
addition,
today is the day that NOAA starts to meet and resolve its outstanding
obligations
to the residents of these islands.
