Good morning. Our hearing today focuses on the private sector's preparation for the year 2000 computer problem and the implications for American agriculture. Recently, much has been reported by the news media on the year 2000 computer problem. That is encouraging because the first step toward addressing the problem is awareness. A survey conducted by an independent research firm in March found that nearly forty percent of American consumers were unaware of the year 2000 ...
