In Germany this month, two events that blend architecture and politics. Potsdammer Plotz (ph) has been partially reopened. The no man's land that once separated East and West Berlin is now Europe's largest construction site. And in Desau (ph), a new program at the Bauhaus, the school where modern architecture was developed. When it was shut down by the Nazis in 1933, Bauhaus designers came to the U.S.
