Mother Teresa of Calcutta has been laid to rest. The woman who was physically small, deliberately poor, and had no political authority, was venerated today as one of the most admired human beings of this century. After a ceremony that drew the eyes of the world to the Calcutta she felt called to serve, the same caisson that once bore the body of Mahatma Gandhi to burial took Mother Teresa, Jawaharlal Nehru rode, as thousands along the streets in which she founded her mission, threw flowers, chanted prayers ...
