Opel Pulls Plug on Sponsorship Deal With Steffi Graf

Citing Steffi Graf's recent tax woes, the German carmaker Opel AG has
announced it will not renew its sponsorship deal with the tennis star.
Graf reportedly earned $1.2 million from the deal last year.

a-year sponsorship contract because of unresolved tax problems with
the German government. An investigation into possible tax evasion
began last summer, and has resulted in the arrest of her father and
her accountant on charges of tax evasion. Graf herself has not been
