LINDA WERTHEIMER, Host: The Holland Tunnel, which connects New Jersey and Manhattan, was dedicated a National Historic Landmark today. For rush hour commuters the tunnel is an underwater traffic jam, but for others it's a testament to the genius of its designer and chief engineer Clifford Holland. From New York, NPR's Melissa Block reports.
