Remembering Poet E. E. Cummings on His Centennial

LYNN NEARY, Host: One hundred years ago today, the poet edward estlin
cummings was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At the time of his
death in 1962, cummings was one of the most widely read poets in America.
While cummings lived in Greenwich Village most of his life, he and
his wife, Marion, often traveled to Rochester, New York, to visit
his patron.
Brenda Tremblay [sp] of member station WXXI in Rochester spoke with
some of cummings' acquaintances and has this report.
