ALEX CHADWICK, Host: This is Weekend Edition. I'm Alex Chadwick. Coming up, the mystique of the English butler, but first, 100 years ago today, the composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky died. The official version said he drank contaminated water and contracted cholera. Others claim he committed suicide rather than face disclosure of his homosexuality. The truth may never be known. What is known is that he created a body of work unique in its style and depth of passion. NPR's Mark Schramm prepared this report.
