Despite the chance of some opposition lawmakers losing their seats
for remaining absent from Parliament sessions for more than 90 consecutive
days, the opposition remains adamant to continue its year-long boycott
of the ensuing budget session.

BNP Secretary General, Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan, MP, Chief Whip of the
Opposition, Khondoker Delowar Hossain and Jatiya Party (JP) Secretary General
Naziur Rahman Monzur yesterday told The Independent separately that the
opposition would not join the budget session of Parliament beginning on
June 5.
