Nepali experts Friday urged the government to start eco-labeling the hotels
and resorts sprouting across the country as a first step towards promoting
sustainable tourism and conserving the fragile ecology.

Speaking at a national seminar on Green Hotels and Eco- labeling in
Tourism Industry here, the experts also expressed deep concern over the
deteriorating environment of the high mountain areas such as Annapurna
and Everest regions, which have been witnessing an influx of tourists every
year.
