TIANJIN, May 10 (Xinhua) -- An international forum on water resources
closed today calling on the world to protect water resources to ensure
sustainable social and economic developments in big cities.

Focusing on the protection of water resources in the 21st century, the
three-day forum was attended by over 200 water conservancy experts from
UNESCO, the International Water Association, the World Bank, Germany, France,
Sweden, Japan and China.
