UC-Davis mourns deaths of prof, researcher; looks to future

(The California Aggie) (U-WIRE) DAVIS, Calif. -- In the wake of the tragic deaths of professor Gary Polis and Michael D. Rose, the UC Davis campus community is dealing with its grief while beginning the spring quarter.

In addition to his teaching and research, Polis was the chairperson of the environmental science and policy planning department. Paul Sabatier, former vice chairperson of the department has agreed to take up the interim position as the chairperson.
