FED: Australians ditching theme parks for classical ballet

A national survey has found Australians are ditching the quick thrills of theme parks
over a night of culture at the ballet.

But researchers say that has less to do with becoming refined and more to do with marketing.

The survey, by Sweeney Research, has found there was a minor resurgence in classical
pursuits during 1999.
