Fed: Fumes forced pilot to hand over controls

BRISBANE, Feb 2 AAP - A pilot with over 30 years' experience went public today to raise
concerns over the safety of a passenger jet which crews complain makes them sick.

Captain Frank Kolver told the Senate air safety inquiry he was forced to hand over
control of his plane to the co-pilot because he was overcome by cabin fumes.

The Brisbane-based pilot said he experienced difficulty and had trouble flying the
Qantas Airlink BAE 146 passenger jet because of a strong oil smell in the ...
