Black holes might be more common than thought

By DAN FALK ATLANTA, Jan. 13 (UPI)-- Astronomers may have solved one
of the long-standing puzzles in astronomy and, at the same time,
discovered a broader role for the esoteric dark objects known as black
holes.

Using data from the Chandra X-ray Observatory, scientists for the
first time were able to resolve the X-ray background radiation of the
universe -- a feeble glow of X-rays coming from every direction in the
