Japanese lawmakers head to Pyongyang
SEOUL, South Korea, Nov. 29 (UPI) _ Hopes are high for a breakthrough
in icy relations during as Japanese lawmakers head to North Korea this
week, but some observers say the talks are unlikely to bring about a
breakthrough.
``Both North Korea and Japan are eager to improve relations, but
Japanese lawmakers' visit is not cut out to end decades-long mutual
hostility,'' said a research fellow at Seoul's key private think tank.
The centerpiece of the Japanese lawmakers' three-day visit, beginning
