Bethlehem prepares for Millennium
BETHLEHEM, West Bank, Nov. 27 (UPI) _ The famous Manger Yard of the
holy city of Bethlehem, the place where Jesus Christ was born, is
expected to host the most extraordinary celebrations in 100 years as
the millennium and Christmas converge.
The noise of bulldozers can be heard around the clock in the usually
tranquil city, working to prepare the little town for the largest
influx of pilgrims and celebrants in living memory.
Store owners and residents near the Manger Yard and the Church of the
Nativity are sprucing up ...
