Jahangir Painting Fetches Record Price.
A 17th century portrait of the Mughal emperor Jahangir was sold for a record price of close to $1 million at an auction at Sotheby's in London.
An unknown buyer paid 573,000 (about $900,000) for the portrait of the emperor, the largest known surviving Mughal painting. This is a new world record price for any Indian painting.
