The unique sounds of a Balinese gamelan orchestra -- a large ensemble of tuned gongs, bronze metallophones, drums and flutes -- will accompany several of Bali's most brilliant dancers. Gamelan Sekar Jaya, the Bay Area's renowned 35-member ensemble, presents three concerts of music and dance from Bali: Noe Valley Ministry -- Friday and Saturday, Feb 26 and 27, at 8:15 p.m., 1021 Sanchez Street, San Francisco.
