"Faux Pax: Works in Hye Allegory," by artist M.L. Mingus have just been published in a limited first edition of 200 pairs.

The series title is a combination of the French "faux" (as in pearls) for "false," and the Latin "pax" (as in the "Pax Romanum" - a euphemism for "peace" by means of invasion and outside rule) for "peace."

Miss Mingus, herself half-Armenian and a native to the South-eastern United States, has been actively competitive as an artist for over twenty-five ...
