Is music creativity a thing of the past?.

One thing you can't help noticing when you're perusing the Billboard magazine Black music charts, or listening to the radio, is how little genuine creativity there is. As Luther Vandross so aptly put it, "There's not a whole lot of pioneering going on right now."
It's saddening, not to mention boring. Where are the innovators? The chance-takers? The eccentric geniuses? Without innovation, the future is bleak. Distinctive artists like Sly & the Family Stone, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Miles ...
