Teen Pregnancy: Study Finds Higher Birth Defects Risk.

Sacramento- Teen pregnancy has reached epidemic proportions-over 500,000 babies are born to teens each year nationwide, about 70,000 in california alone- and according to a new California study, babies born to teens are 11 percent more likely to have birth defects than babies whose mothers are in their 20s. One in 32 babies born to California teens will have serious birth defects-over 2,100 each year.
