Pocahontas: A grade school memory.
This year, the Walt Disney company will release its new animated film and traveling musical show about Pocahontas, the first Native American Princess.
All of America is in love with the idea and image of a copper colored princess. She represents to the Christian mind set how successfully Indians can be converted and how accepting she is of white people. Her smile and her beckoning gesture speak to white people and welcome them into the new world.
