BOOKS: NEWS, REVIEWS, AND GOSSIP; Maria Tallchief.

Vee Browne, Navajo author, has published another book. Her latest children's book is Maria Tallchief, a book about an Osage ballerina.

The book tells how Tallchief had a successful career as a ballerina, but also managed to hold onto her culture and had a successful family life during her career despite going through a divorce before remarrying.

Tallchief remains active in the world of dance as director of the Lyric Opera in Chicago.
