Heraldry of Armenian Princes and Kings Dates Back to the Pre-Christian Era

The heraldic imagery of ancient and medieval Armenian princes and Kings, the distinctive visual imaginary with which families represented themselves, was examined by Prof. Levon Chookaszian of Yerevan State University in a lecture at the St. James Armenian Church in Watertown. Chookaszian's talk was part of a series of lectures cosponsored by the St. James Cultural Committee and the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research held earlier last year.
