Doctors -- regular M.D.s -- are joining unions by the hundreds and by the thousands. They are doing what they never dreamed they would ever want to or have to do when they chose the honorable and honored profession of medicine. They are being driven to join unions by the health maintenance organizations -- the new "bosses" of the American medical business.
