Drug-owning Japanese meted death term.

BACOLOD CITY--A Japanese national caught in possession of 1.9 kilograms of dried marijuana at the Bacolod Airport eight months ago was sentenced to death Dec. 7 by the regional trial court in this city.

Found guilty beyond reasonable doubt for illegal possession of prohibited drugs was Hedishi Suzuki, who had earlier claimed the carton of marijuana found in his possession and used as evidence against him "was planted."
