TRIBUTE TO CAB CALLOWAY: RITES TUESDAY, NOV. 29.

Family viewing and cremation services for Cabell "Cab" Calloway III, 86, were held Tuesday, Nov.22 in Wilmington, Del. The King of Hi-De-Hi-De-Ho, singer, actor and bandleader, who was one of the 20th century's show business giants, suffered a serious stroke at his Westchester County, N.Y. home on June 12.

He died Friday, Nov. 18 at a retirement community in Hockessin, Del. after a battle with pneumonia, with his family by his side. At AFRO presstime, Memorial services are being planned for Nov. 29 ...
