(The Lantern) (U-WIRE) COLUMBUS, Ohio -- There are two ways of tackling racism. One way is logging a complaint after it happens. Another is trying to promote tolerance through education.

Study Circles on Race Relations, the student organization previously called Study Circles on Racism at Ohio State, prescribes to the second theory.

Janice Hoffman, director of the Office of Ethnic Student Services, said the organization's new name conveys its purpose to improve race relations and not to promote racism.
