Amendments to PPL expected within second extraordinary session, THE STAR

THIS SATURDAY, the Parliament will convene its extraordinary session
in compliance with article 82 of the Constitution, which stipulates that
"the King may, whenever necessary, summon the National Assembly to meet
in an extraordinary session for an unspecified period for the purpose of
deciding matters to be specified in the Royal Decree when the summons are
issued." The decree was issued last Sunday to summon Parliament to convene
on 14 August.

About 11 draft laws are on the agenda of both houses of Parliament. On
