The fifth and final co-defendant in the Catherine Duffy Petit fraud case
pleaded guilty Friday to six counts related to his role in an investment scam
that cheated dozens of people out of nearly $7 million.
Steven A. Hall, 43, of Standish, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in
Portland to conspiracy, bankruptcy fraud, mail fraud, securities fraud and
money laundering. He was scheduled to stand trial this fall.
Hall was originally slated to stand trial in conjunction with four other
defendants last winter. ...
